Objective
ESIR's preparatory cycle (65 places) is offered to secondary school graduates. After completing the two-year foundation course, students can choose one of the specialty areas of ESIR's engineering degree cycle.
ESIR's preparatory cycle provides students with a solid scientific and technical foundation (Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Mechanics), as well as English and Communication skills (with optional courses in German and Spanish), and a work placement to gain initial professional experience. Students who successfully complete the two-year preparatory cycle automatically gain access to the ESIR engineering degree cycle.

Admission
Secondary school graduates with the equivalent of a French general baccalaureate can access the preparatory cycle by passing the competitive entrance examination, Geipi Polytech (registration via Parcoursup).
Which secondary level qualification is accepted?
ESIR accepts high school graduates who have been awarded the equivalent of a French general baccalaureate with strong focus on science subjects and mathematics.
